Snow:
Continuing teasing amounts of
snow but not enough to make it worth running the tows. If things do
start to look promising, call the
answer machine after about 8.30am. Number is:

09.00am - Saturday 4th December 2010.
Snow:
There’s
now about 80 cms - which makes for good boarding & skiing but is
causing some parking problems.
Car
Parking: If
you go to Allenheads over the weekend, please take a shovel and make
sure you park off the road and don’t block entrances to drives,
roads or houses. As well as the parking near the hall, there is a
car park in the village. This car park is through the gate opposite
the pub. There is also a car park on the Rookhope road, opposite the
top of B tow. This may not have been ploughed, but if it hasn’t,
it may still be possible to park there with a bit of digging.
We’re still
having problems with A tow, so we will only have B tow (the one nearest
the road) running this weekend, plus a portable tow beside A tow. The
portable tow’s capacity is less than A tow – maximum of 3 people at a
time, so you may have to be patient if you use it.
Skiing &
Boarding this weekend is open to all members, including anyone with
Restricted Membership.

Non-Members: To ski at Allenheads, you must join
the ski club, but we are very happy to take your application on
the day & you can then ski immediately. See the Membership
